Sign a PDF
Add your signature to a PDF without printing and scanning it. Draw your signature with a mouse or finger, or use a photo of it on paper, then place it on any page. The PDF is signed in your browser; it is not uploaded, and its text stays selectable.
How to use it
- Draw your signature in the box, or choose Use a photo of my signature. The background is removed automatically.
- Drop the PDF in the box. Its pages appear below.
- Go to the right page and press Add signature to this page. Drag it into place and drag its corner to resize. Add it to more pages if needed.
- Click Download signed PDF.
Is this a legal signature?
This places a picture of your handwritten signature, the same as signing a printout and scanning it. That is accepted for many everyday forms, letters and agreements. Some documents need a certified digital signature or a wet-ink original; if in doubt, ask whoever requested your signature.
Tips
- A photo of a signature in dark pen on white paper gives the most natural look.
- Protected PDFs must be unlocked first with unlock PDF.
- Need just the signature image for a form? Use the signature resize tool.
